Overdraft Protection Change: Effective July 1, 2010. The federal government issued changes to Regulation E affecting overdraft protection for ATM withdrawals and one-time debit card purchases. Currently, if an account does not have sufficient funds to cover an ATM withdrawal or one-time debit card transaction, Daviess County Teachers Federal Credit Union may cover the insufficient amount up to $500.00 for a fee of $20.00 per transaction. Beginning July 1, 2010, we will discontinue this practice unless we receive your authorization instructing us to do so. This does not affect checks, other electronic fund transactions or recurring payments to your debit card. Authorization may be requested by calling or stopping by the credit union.
